  Chy-an-Creet in St.Ives was built as a private residence by Edgar Skinner, a close friend of Master Potter Bernard Leach, in about 1923 and is a comfortable house with character and space.  Nestling in its own garden near to where the edge of town meets the enchanting Penwith Moors to the west, it is as convenient for touring, walking or sightseeing in this area of outstanding natural beauty, as it is for simply relaxing.

 Edgar’s at Chy-an-Creet (a non-smoking house) is open from Spring to October for holidays and short breaks.  Each of our seven centrally heated en-suite guest rooms has a complimentary beverage tray and colour television.  Our two guest lounges include a comfortable private bar (with a real fire for cooler weather) stocked with a selection of soft drinks, spirits and ales. The other lounge is “dry” but very comfortable.
